Does one manual really cover both the TD and the TF?

Yes, and the factory says so in its own preface: the instructions given for the Series TD also apply to the Series TF, and where the two differ the TF information is given at the end of the relevant section. The items called out as differing are the carburetters, air cleaners, radiator, body, instruments, switches and lights.
