Frequently Asked Questions

Will this cover my car, Tourer or GT?

Both. The manual is written for the MGB Tourer, chassis prefix GHN5, and the MGB GT, chassis prefix GHD5, and covers left and right hand drive cars throughout.

My car has overdrive. Is that in here?

It is, and in detail. There is an Overdrive section and a separate Overdrive (Type L.H) section, sitting alongside the all-synchromesh Gearbox section and the Automatic Gearbox section.

Does it help with the emissions equipment on a later car?

Yes. There is a separate Fuel System section for Evaporative Loss equipment, and the Engine, Electrical System and Body sections each have a Local and Territorial Requirements counterpart for export specification cars. The Engine Tuning Data tables give the emission control settings.

Can I search the text for a procedure?

No, and it is fairer to say so. This is a photographic scan of the printed book with no text layer behind it, so you navigate it the way the factory intended, by the lettered A to S section tabs and the contents pages, both of which are reproduced in full.

What do I actually receive?

One PDF file of 417 pages, the complete AKD 3259 14th Edition, delivered as an instant download.

How soon is it available?

Immediately once payment clears, with the link on your confirmation page and in your email.
