Is the Hilux Surf the same truck as the 4Runner?

Yes. Hilux Surf was the Japanese market name and 4Runner the export one, and the vehicle underneath is the same. That is why Toyota issued a single repair manual, and why this download is titled Toyota Truck & 4Runner Repair Manual.

My Surf is right hand drive. Does this still apply?
